Throwback Thursdays! “Cupid’s Chokehold” by Gym Class Heroes

Can you believe this song is 11 years old? Oh yeah. I heard Cupid’s Chokehold the other day and thought, this song has gotta be coming up on 10 years old, when that happens I can do a Throwback Thursday on it, but that’s probably a few years away . Boy was I wrong! I sure got egg on my face, although that is due to an unrelated breakfast incident. Anywho, this song was pretty big back in 2005 and why wouldn’t it be? You had Patrick Stump of Fall Out Boy (one of the hottest bands at the time) singing the hook from Supertramp’s hit song “Breakfast in America” along with Travis McCoy’s sultry rap lyrics. Throw in a cameo by a then unknown Katy Perry (she was McCoy’s girlfriend at the time) and you got yourself a recipe for success! Enjoy!
