Hey guys, my birthday is coming up and you know what I want? World Peace. Just kidding! That will never happen. What I really want is this Color The 90s adult coloring book by Outrageous Katie. It says ‘Adult’, so don’t let anyone give you any shit about being in your 20s, 30s or 40s and coloring in a coloring book (50 years olds can suck it, your were in your 20s when this stuff was relevant). For those interested in this little piece of Nostalgic awesomeness, you can buy it on Amazon! That place has everything! Except my fathers love….Anywho! Throughout history video games have always had hidden levels or cheat codes. Some would help you out as a gamer, others added fun elements and some made no sense whatsoever…which made them awesome! Here are a few of the best secrets from classic video games. See how many you remember/even knew about. NBA JAM: Secret Roster This is a secret many people were aware of but few knew the codes to unlock them. This was back before the internet, so friends who knew these codes would hold on to them like they were the goddamn missile codes during the cold war. I assume this was so they would always get invited over to play. In what is one of the greatest childhood dreams fulfilled, Jimmy Fallon played a round of GoldenEye 64 for Nintendo 64 against none other than 007 himself, James Bond…I mean, Pierce Brosnan! Man, that must have been the coolest. One day I hope to achieve my childhood video game dream of playing Lee Carvallo’s Putting Challenge with Lee Carvallo himself! Annnnnd I’ve just been told that both Lee Carvallo and his video game are completely fictional. Well, I’ve wasted my life. Enjoy the clip!

Ready 2 Rumble…the game

Easily one of my favorite games of the late 90’s/early 2000’s, it’s the over-the-top Ready 2 Rumble boxing. In an era when boxing games for N64 and PlayStation were trying to be more realistic and “true to the sport”, Ready 2 Rumble embraced the arcade style that made games like Punch-Out! a hit. The game was released on PlayStation, Nintendo 64, Game Boy Color and Dreamcast. In fact, it was so successful on the Dreamcast that it became one of the few Sega All Stars titles. With Michael Buffer announcing, fast and fun gameplay, along with colorful characters like Afro Thunder, this game was a perfect pick up and play fighter that I miss in today’s world of advanced video games. I remember in Championship mode having to work my way through the ranks. You start out boxing in front of a dozen fans to filling out an arena. Although, even in front of that dozen fans the “Buff” is still announcing. I guess he must need the paycheque.

Goldeneye – Nostalgia at its Finest

Nintendo 64 will always have a soft spot in my nostalgic heart. While I was never allowed a very game console as a kid (my mom thought it would make me fat…jokes on her, I was fat anyways), I would spend many hours of my youth playing this glorious gaming system at my friends place. Amongst the usual games, WCW/NWO Revenge, Excitebike 64 and Battletank, we had the old stand-by Goldeneye. This game was the go-to 9 out of 10 times.
