He’s baaaaaaack. One of the most polarizing toys from my childhood is making a comeback. That’s right folks, the Teddy Ruxpin doll is back to either make your dreams come true or to haunt them. The old Teddy Ruxpin was designed to sync up with a cassette that you placed in his belly, however this new version has a 4GB hard drive and most likely will be the darling of YouTube when people hack him to do crazy things. I suggest him singing “Black Skinhead” by Kanye. The New Ruxpin doll will retail for about $100 and is designed to be more cute than the original yet somehow comes off that much more terrifying. Yeah you did! This is a LEGO minifig hair bicycle helmet created by a European creative agency DDB with the goal to get kids excited about bike safety. Screw kids! This gets me excited about bike safety and I don’t even own a bike. I might just buy one to walk around in, cause looking good is half the battle. Nightmares do come true! Have you ever watched The Dark Crystal and thought “man, I would love to have those terrifying creatures in my home with me”. Well guess what ya freak? Now you can! That’s right, when you got a hot commodity you gotta move on it. And move on it they did, making these toys 30+ years after the movies release. The toys are being made by the good people at Funko and will run you about $6-$10 each. But can you really put a cost on haunting your dreams over the holidays? In more proof that LEGO is for adults and not children, they have announced the release of the Beatles’ Yellow Submarine set this November. The set will consist of over 550 pieces, costs $60 and includes John, Paul, George and Ringo minifigs. So for those still debating who the greatest Beatle is, I ask you this: How many songs sung by John, Paul or George got LEGO sets made of them? I thought so.
