Is this an eery foreshadow to all those Lincoln commercials?
Ironically McConaughey does not say his now iconic line “alright, alright, alright” in this audition but other than that this is basically his whole performance from the film Dazed and Confused.
This audition had me thinking two things:
1. Matthew McConaughey was born to play this role.
2. He was barely in the film and still is the most remembered part of it.
For those of you who still haven’t seen Dazed and Confused, I highly recommend it. It’s a coming of age story that takes place over one day back in the 70s when the drinking age was 18 and apparently child child abuse and statutory rape were not only accepted but encouraged in some cases…
